KIA America, RIOT Games announce partnership
KIA America and RIOT Games have announced a new partnership in promotion of the League of Legends Championship Series.
“As the first automotive brand in esports to partner with both the LCS as well as multiple high-profile teams, Kia is all-in on esports, and we are excited to join this vibrant and passionate community.” Russell Wager, vice president of marketing for Kia America, said in a press release.
Kia is the first ever sponsor of multiple camera views for League of Legends. This lets players see multiple points of view during gameplay.
As part of the agreement, KIA will present awards including the MVP Award, All-Pro Team and the Rookie of the Year Award.
“We’re excited to begin the new year on a bright note by welcoming Kia to the LCS family,” said Mark Zimmerman, LCS Commissioner.

Biopharmaceutical company Kyverna Therapeutics receives FDA Clearance for Investigational New Drug that can be used for those with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
KYV-101 has received IND clearance from the FDA, according to a press release from Kyverna Therapeutics. .
“This approval is a critically necessary step that paves the way to enroll patients with treatment-refractory progressive MS for whom there are no currently available treatment options in the KYSA-7 trial,” Bruce Cree, MD, PhD, MAS, clinical research director and professor of clinical neurology at the University of California said in a press release. “This study offers participants a new hope for arresting relentless disability worsening and a potentially durable, treatment-free remission.”
KYV-101 specifically spots CD19, a polypeptide on B cells, which is involved in numerous types of autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis. This clearance will grow the use of KYV-101 in a clinical trial that selects a larger patient demographic.
Kyverna will continue to traverse more indications for KYV-101 in order to develop more products that can address medical needs in autoimmune diseases.

TUMS and DraftKings Team Up to create social media experience.
TUMS and DraftKings have teamed up to create an innovative new social media experience in advance of the Big Game, according to a press release from TUMS.
Prop Bites is a unique social media experience where participants can make free food picks instead of player picks.
The experience is free, however, users must be registered DraftKings players to participate. Players have the opportunity to win prizes totaling $10,000, according to a company press release.
“I’m thrilled to help launch TUMS® Prop Bites and allow food and sports fans to go all in on the most hyped part of the Big Game – the food,” Desus Nice, a comedian working with companies on the implementation of the experience, said in a press release.

Allies Appoints Two New Vice Presidents of Residential Services
Allies, Inc., a provider of resources and services for those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in New Jersey has appointed two new vice presidents of residential services, a company press release said.
Shynaqua Jarvis and Shane Chin-Hing were promoted.
